George Nicolson have just completed their most adventurous principal contract project to date at The Barologist, Edinburgh.
This Greene King site located at Commercial Street in Leith was formerly known as The Cameo. The establishment has now been transformed into an impressive theme bar, ‘The Barologist’. A fictitious character whose weather inventions are scattered all over the pub which has been made to look like his workshop and home. The bespoke inventions and design all brought to life, by the imagination of Rough Design and Artem, showcase his weather experiments. Staff costumes and the decor give a Victorian feel and ambiance. The pub has also been divided into areas representing the four seasons giving customers a taster inside of weather such as wind, thunder and lightning. The popular Winter Room includes its very own projector screen, planetarium and snow machine.
This challenging project was carried out over a four week period. The complete overhaul internally and redecoration externally was undertaken by our skilled operatives and members of our subcontractor team. As you will see from the photographs to your right, works involved many specialist decorative finishes to give The Baroloigist, Edinburgh an authentic feel of yester year .
George Nicolson are very proud of the end result which pleased our client, together with staff and customers alike. All were delighted with the finished product.
