George Nicolson were pleased to be awarded a further decoration package to The Bonham Hotel, Edinburgh through Thomas Johnstone Ltd.
Works encompassed the preparation and painting to walls, ceilings, cornices, mouldings, friezes, metalwork and woodwork to various public access areas of the hotel such as the Dining Room, Snug, Library, Events Lounge, Hotel Entrance, Lift Lobby, Restaurant Entrance, Front Lounge and Lounge Bar. In addition, numerous main walls throughout were stripped back to allow the installation of wallcoverings. Mouldings to the decorative ceilings were finished in gold paint with moulding detail being picked out.
As well as painting skirtings and doors, our skilled operatives were also required to prepare and refinish exposed timber to window frames, doors, ingoes and soffits etc to match treatment to the existing timber panelling.
