Esh Border Construction required digital wallpapers to be hung throughout the Customer Hub within the City of Edinburgh Council’s City Chambers building. With a number of years experience in the application of digital wallpapers, George Nicolson were delighted to have been successful in being instructed to undertake the works. This was our first project undertaken for Esh Border Construction and we look forward to working for them again on the Wedding Venue at Edinburgh’s City Chambers.
Our skilled operatives were required to build a tube scaffold to ensure a safe working platform was in place to assist them whilst they applied these specialist digital wallpapers at high level.
The refurbishment allowed the Council to make improvements to the way they deliver face-to-face services with their customers by offering the following:
- A more flexible and user-friendly space
- Self-serve kiosks
- New automated reception service
- Co-location of a wider range of services into one building
- Improving how they help people with complex or sensitive needs that are best served by using their offices.
The bright and spacious Customer Hub has been warmly welcomed by staff and members of the public alike.
