George Nicolson, in conjunction with Principal Contractor Thomas Johnstone Ltd, were delighted to be awarded the decoration package for the interior and exterior decoration works to The Ink Building, Glasgow.
Our highly trained tradespeople were required to work off a fixed scaffold and put the finishing touches to the building using a mobile elevated working platform to enable them to work safely when undertaking the works to the external brickwork and steel at the various high levels of this seven storey building. Further works to the underground carpark and access leading to it were also included in our works.
Internally, works were completed to the lift lobbies, reception, shower rooms, male and female changing rooms, main entrance lobby, stairs, WC’s, accessible WC’s, switch rooms, stores and offices. The new plasterboard walls and ceilings were taped and filled then decorated as per the client’s specification. New woodwork such as timber skirtings, door frames and facings were also decorated.
