George Nicolson were pleased to be instructed by Inscape Joinery to undertake the decoration works at 4 Royal Terrace, Edinburgh.
This project was an office refurbishment of an impressive city centre townhouse which had been subjected to extreme water damage on all levels. Our works encompassed the full decoration externally and internally from basement through to third floor.
External decoration to front and rear elevations included windows, doors, masonry painted walls, security bars, downpipes, railings and lamp post whilst safely working off scaffolding.
Internal decoration works encompassed the painting of ceilings, soffits, walls, friezes, picture rails, skylight, woodwork (doors, skirtings, facings, window, window panels, window shutters, pipe boxes, dado rails, balustrades), fireplaces and radiators. Cornices were sprayed due to their ornate nature. We also organised the erection and dismantling of the fixed scaffold to allow decoration works in the void of the stairwell, high level works to cupola and the feature ceiling. Furthermore, our skilled operatives installed wallcoverings throughout the property.
As well as being occupied for the entirety of the project, the decoration was also carried out in co-ordination with joinery and electrical repairs together with carpet fitting installations throughout. As always, it was a pleasure to work with Inscape Joinery who are based in Dalkeith.
