Young people can be a vital part of our workforce through being ambitious, motivated and eager to learn from our experienced tradespeople. The ongoing encouragement, development and nurturing of the young talent we employ will ensure they are kept engaged, work up to their true potential and learn important life skills.
Looking forward, the company will continue to strongly focus on the importance of recruitment, development and retention of young people and thus ensuring a continued increase of the skill level within our company and indeed the Painting and Decorating industry as a whole.
As a result of the foregoing, we have commenced with our annual recruitment campaign.
What might a day in this job look like?
Within your first year, you’ll learn the core skill set such as applying emulsion to areas with brush & roller, gain knowledge of preparation i.e. filling, sanding, stripping and the importance of leaving your work area tidy every time – great for clients and efficient for you.
What will I Learn?
You’ll learn various aspects of Painting & Decorating. At the end of your 4 year apprenticeship you will be a time-served qualified painter and decorator.
What Qualifications / Qualities are required?
You’ll have a positive, can-do attitude to tasks and colleagues alike. You’ll have excellent timekeeping and attendance records and a willingness to communicate and work hard. You’ll ask plenty questions and impress your peers and managers through your interest and diligence.
Must reside within an EH postcode.
