George Nicolson were delighted to be instructed by Thomas Johnstone Ltd to undertake decoration works to the OMNi Centre, Edinburgh.

Over several months, our skilled operatives were required to ames tape and decorate new wall linings, columns cladding, shopfront pilasters, lift shaft elevations, store rooms, stairs and bulkheads.
Whilst safely working off mobile elevated working platforms and mobile towers to reach high level areas, the existing plasterboard surfaces to the shop fronts were filled and then decorated. In addition, the boxed in and fire protected beams and front circular columns were also painted. Within the main concourse, soffits and mall bulkhead surfaces were made good and the existing services spray painted. Furthermore, the new plasterboard surfaces, including ceilings, were also ames taped and decorated.

All working areas were cordoned off to members of the public whilst works were completed during the day, as well as nightshift, to minimise disruption to the public and the businesses operating within the centre.
Now refurbished and refreshed, the OMNi Centre is known as Edinburgh’s top leisure and entertainment hub. It is were friends meet fun, where movies meet macchiatos and where work meets play. It’s where pizza meets prosecco, where first dates meets fitness workouts, and where day meets night. The OMNi Centre, Edinburgh is on a mission to get Edinburgh to meet more and enjoy more.
