George Nicolson were delighted to assist with the enhancement of this bespoke three bedroom executive apartment in St Andrews. With a brief from the client, new column features were provided by Skimm It, high end shopfitting detailing throughout by Stag Developments (Scotland) Ltd and flooring by GL Floors.
The decoration included the hanging of bespoke imported specialist wall coverings throughout the executive apartment which were installed to a very high standard by George Nicolson skilled operatives.
The century-old building has a noble history. The client has quoted “The décor we wanted was Old World style,” she says, “and I was able to find all the furniture nearby, mostly at stores and antique shops in Edinburgh, with several Oriental rugs coming from a local dealer in St. Andrews”.
These works created a canvas for the subsequent client, who is a professional interior designer, to position furniture, fittings and artworks throughout this impressive executive apartment. As you can see from the photographs down to your right, this exquisite executive apartment is nothing short of striking.
St Andrews is a town northeast of Edinburgh, on Scotland’s east cost and is known as the “home of golf”. Visitors travel to St Andrews in great numbers for several golf courses which are ranked amongst the finest in the world, as well as for the beautiful sandy beaches. The clients are understandably the proud owners of one of the finest residences in the town.
The end product was without a doubt one of the most stunning transformations George Nicolson have been involved in.
