“We’re delighted with work that George Nicolson undertook for us. Repairing and repainting our late nineteenth century timber-built frontage wasn’t straightforward. There were unforeseen issues given the age and fabric of the building which they overcame to complete the job in good time and with minimal impact on the business. Special mention to Andy and Chloe in particular who were instrumental in turning the job around and the super quality of the work.”
Emily Walsh, Managing Director
To allow for the timber repairs and the decoration of the frontage to the high level areas, a fixed scaffold was erected from the basement. Access to both the neighbouring properties as well as the basement gallery were not affected.
The cornice, fascia, decorative panelling, pilasters, windows, doors and facings were thoroughly prepared and decorated by our skilled operatives, together with the assistance of a supervised apprentice. The signwriting and gold works were carried out by one of the client’s direct contractors.
