George Nicolson were delighted to be instructed by Severino Projects to undertake the decoration works to The Huxley and Kyloe, both located at the West End of the City Centre of Edinburgh.
Within The Huxley, our works encompassed the preparation and decoration of the main public trading area, ladies, gents and DDA WC and lobby. This included the ames taping of small areas, the decoration of ceilings, friezes, walls and woodwork such as dado panelling and moulding, doors, facings, skirtings and windows. Our skilled operatives were also required to install new wallcoverings once the areas had been stripped and prepared.
Within Kyloe, again we were instructed to prepare and decorate the main public trading area, the lobby and WC’s which included the ceilings, walls and woodwork such as the staircase dado, doors, facings, windows, window panels and skirtings.
Both establishments are owned by Signature Group, a leading Scottish hospitality group made up of over 20 bars, restaurants, hotels, night clubs and a brewery. Since its beginnings in 2003, Signature has gone from strength to strength with over 500 staff members and venues in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Bridge of Allan and St. Andrews.
