George Nicolson were pleased to be awarded a further decoration package to The Norton House Hotel, Ingliston, Edinburgh through Hand Picked Hotels Ltd. The project was carried out to all the hotel 600 bedroom series to the design supplied by 10 Design Ltd.
Over a 3 week period, works included the preparation and decoration of walls, ceilings and woodwork. With the assistance of our skilled subcontract team, the hard wood floors were re-laquered by GL Flooring, existing furniture French polished by Mark Braidwood, with various joinery through Hallbar Joinery Services Ltd and electrical works being undertaken by Hugh Fulton Electrical.
As you pass the original stone gatehouse and journey along the tree-lined drive, between open fields, the Norton House Hotel, creates a striking first impression: an elegant blend of the classic and the contemporary.
Originally owned by the Ushers, the family behind Glenlivet Whisky and the Ushers Brewery, the house still has the appearance of a private country home.
