George Nicolson were pleased to be instructed by Greene King to undertake the decoration works to the external of The Harbour Inn, Edinburgh.
Prior to decoration, and with the assistance of our Principal Contract Team, rainwater gutters were cleared of vegetation, checked and repaired. The render was also repaired to a finish to match the existing. There were also joinery repairs to the windows and cills. Furthermore, the existing external lighting, signage, amenity boards and display boards were removed.
The decoration works included the thorough preparation of the front, right hand and rear elevations. This involved the scraping and wire brushing of the rendered surfaces and brickwork to remove the grime and soot. Stabilising solution was applied prior to the application of masonry paint and the two colour picking out of quoins, mock fascia and stallriser.
The iron car park barriers, bollards, sign post, ironwork and window security bars were also prepared and decorated.
